UTILIZE NON-AVERSIVE AND NON-CONFRONTATIONAL METHODS
DEVELOP INDIVIDUALIZED CRISIS PREVENTION AND/OR INTERVENTION PLANS, IF INDICATED, CONTINGENT UPON THE SITUATION AND INPUT RECEIVED
PRIORITIZE CRISES BASED UPON SEVERITY AND AVAILABLE RESOURCES
AN URGENT CALL MAY RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OR CANCELLATION OF OTHER CALLS OR APPOINTMENTS
PROVIDE BI-LINGUAL SERVICES, WHEN NECESSARY.
Victim Assistance Support Services (V.A.S.T.)
This highly specialized team works with Regional Center consumers who have been victims of crime. Services offered include assisting victims with making a crime impact statement, reporting crimes to police, testifying in court, working with detectives to bring about the resolution of a case and accompanying victims to exams after a sexual assault.
At this time, the V.A.S.T team provides Forensic case management, advocacy, training, and consulting services only in San Diego county.(If you receive services from the San Diego Regional Center, and have been the victim of a crime, or if someone in your care has been victimized, please contact your service coordinator and ask him/her to make a referral for our services)
